Mint Relish Recipe

Mint relish can go with a variety of foods, or just used simply on its own as a really tasty dip. Perhaps if you make a turkey curry to use up leftover meat, this relish will go really well with it. Mixed with coriander, it has a little kick of heat. Easy to make in a blender, in just a few minutes.

Serves:                  8

Preparation Time:   5 -10 minutes

Cook Time:             No cook!


o   115g/4oz fresh mint leaves, picked

o   115g/4oz cilantro/coriander leaves, picked

o   1 small red chilli, chopped

o   1 small red onion, chopped

o   2½tbsp lime juice

o   2tsp of water

o   2tbsp plain natural yogurt

o   2tsp turmeric powder

o   Salt and pepper to taste


Save a little of the mint and coriander for decoration.

Blend all of the remaining ingredients together on medium speed in a blender until the mixture has a smooth consistency.

Pour into a bowl, garnish with mint and coriander and serve as an accompaniment to curry dishes, lamb or as a dip with taco chips or other crispy snacks.

Mixed with coriander, it has a little kick of heat and will certainly liven up your Christmas festivities.
