Having a compact, powerful blender is incredibly useful. The cleanup is faster, it takes up much less counter space, it’s lighter, more portable, and easier to set up. Of all the small sized blenders out there, the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ is absolutely one of the best. It’s refreshingly simple to use thanks to its two no-nonsense preset auto buttons. You don’t have to fumble through the user’s manual to try to figure out what a multitude of settings do that you’ll probably never even use.
The Auto iQ is great for making quick smoothies when you’re in a hurry. Its simplified auto settings make it ideal for whipping something up to take with you before heading out the door. For post-workout shakes, breakfast shakes, snack shakes, or even using with recipes to prepare ingredients for cooking, the Auto iQ can do it all.
Four Simple Buttons, No Hassle
The Nutri Ninja Auto iQ’s four buttons are pulse, start, auto blend, and ultra blend. The pulse button works by continuously holding it down. When you release, the pulsing ceases. This is good for repositioning chucks before blending all the way, or lightly blending something just enough to hack it into pieces for a few seconds. The start button begins blending and only stops when you press it again. A digital display shows the amount of seconds your mixture has been blending.
The two auto modes are timed, so all you have to do is press the button once and wait for the cycle to finish. The digital display will show you how much time there is remaining in the cycle. The ‘auto blend’ setting gives you a good all around blending cycle that is thorough enough to make most recipes. ‘Ultra blend’ is set to use the high powered 1,000 watt motor to spin at full speed after a series of short mid-paced stopping and starting cycles. The stopping and starting again during the cycle allows chucks to settle down into the blades before it starts spinning again.
1,000 Watts is Enough Power for Pretty Much Anything
In case you’re not familiar with how to determine how powerful a 1,000 watt motor is, that’s more than twice as powerful as the average blender. This thing can liquefy just about anything. It makes quick work of ice, frozen veggies and fruit, dry ingredients with liquids, and much more.
The Nutri Ninja is designed for maximum nutrient extraction by breaking down fruits, veggies, seeds, nuts, and anything else you put in it. It makes even the roughest of solid foods more easily digestible. It comes with three BPA free cups, 32 oz, 24 oz and 18 oz and a lid for each. Also included is a recipe booklet with some good smoothie recipes. The 32 oz cup is big enough to whip up just about any recipe. Each cup is marked for measuring so that you can be exact when putting in ingredients. The order of ingredients when making a smoothie should be as follows:
- Fresh fruit or veggies
- Leafy greens
- Then liquid
- Nuts or dry ingredients
- Then ice or frozen food
You’re actually putting them in reverse order, because you’ll need to turn the cup upside down in order to screw it into the base of the blender. Although you cannot put hot liquids into the cup, you can put anything else that is edible that can feasibly be broken up with a blender.
How to Use the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ
Once you have all the ingredients in the cup, screw on the blade assembly tightly, and then place the whole thing into the base and rotate it until you hear it click. Once it clicks, the light of the digital counter will come on. It only comes on when you click in the blender cup, even if it’s already plugged in. After that, simply tap one of the auto settings and wait until it’s done.
The Auto iQ has suction cups on the bottom to keep it stable on your counter. When suctioned on, you can easily remove it by lifting up on one end. The blade assembly, cups, and lids are dishwasher safe, so you don’t have to worry about having to wash them by hand.
You Can Hear it Absolutely Pulverizing Everything in its Path
The only drawback to this bender is that it’s loud. But you won’t get the kind of power this beast of a blender has without a bit of noise. It’s loud enough to possibly wake people up who are sleeping in a nearby room. That goes for pretty much any blender though, especially if there are frozen ingredients and ice in your mixture. Hacking through large, thick chunks of food takes longer and requires a higher setting than normal. This blender is louder than average, there’s no question about that, but as for how much louder it really is; the difference is marginal. Long story short, blenders make noise, and this one is a little bit noisier than many of the others.
Anything You Toss Into it Turns to Liquid
If a little bit of noise isn’t an issue for you, than you’ll love using this blender. It’s unusually powerful motor easily liquefies ingredients. The result is a smoother blend. With the Nutri Ninja, even carrots get turned into a smooth liquid that has no chunks. And it happens faster than most other blenders. The ultra blend setting, its most thorough option, lasts for only 60 seconds. Using the manual start/stop button, you can easily blend through ingredients even faster than that.
3 Cups Included Gives You the Option to Make More, More, More!
Having three separate cups really helps when cooking. There’s no need to stop and clean up before using your blender again, you can pop a different size cup on and clean them all later by tossing them into the dish washer. Since each cup has a tight fitting lid, you can store whatever you don’t use for later by popping the lid on and putting the whole cup in the fridge.
